The Great Indian Chai Pakora Festival
You are invited to the “The Great Indian Chai Pakora Festival”.
One of the best features of Indian culture is how they treat their guests. ‘Atithi Devo Bhava” literally means ‘Guest is God‘ and hosts will treat their guests with respect and serve them with delicious foods and beverages.
No matter what time of day, one of the most common offering will be ‘chai with pakora’ – a delectable, steaming hot, preparation of black tea and milk with warming spices like cardamom, cinnamon and ginger. ‘Pakora’ are fritters made with only onions or a combination of vegetables added in, seasoned with Indian spices.
All this with a lot of conversation & laughter about big things and small.
At Anna Sudha, we are more than just food. We are also about community and connection and we love hosting to bring people together this time with a “cup of tea and freshly prepared pakoras”.
See you on Sunday, 19 March, 9am to 2pm. Prices start as low as $3.
Are you coming? And of course, bring along a friend.
